Friday Favorites / Cake Toppers

Hey all! I’ve been absent lately around here, probably because I’ve been spending all my time actually planning the wedding and not having any time to write about it (hah). Scott and I have been furiously trying to sort out all of the last-minute details for the wedding, so we can really these last few weeks of being engaged! We celebrate our three year dating anniversary tomorrow (fun fact: Scott actually told me when he asked me out that he waited until the Fourth of July because it would be an easy date to remember. Always thinking, that guy.) and then it’s only a little over a month until we’re husband and wife! Anyways, we came across some really fun and unique cake toppers on Etsy, and we spent a long time looking for ones that could be displayed somewhere in our home after the wedding is over, so I thought I’d share a few of them with you! Wedding Things / Introduction

As a very-newly-engaged person, I have recently been learning a lot of things about wedding planning, and I figured this blog would be a good way to chronicle the things that have been happening as well as get some information out there for those of you who have no idea what you are doing (like me). And remember, wedding planning is STRESSFUL (I may or may not have almost cried yesterday trying to figure out what we’re going to do about catering, oops.), but if you’re a planner like me, it can be exciting and even fun! (And if you aren’t a planner like me, never fear! I’ll be posting lots of resources, advice, and lists here!)

To start you all off, here is a master wedding checklist that Scott and I made, and here is a budget worksheet (both totally editable), so you too can be stressed out about HOW MUCH there is to do and HOW EXPENSIVE everything is. 🙂

So, this is all I have for today – I should probably get back to studying for my Human Physiology and Functional Neuroanatomy finals (another note for any student trying to plan a wedding while in school – it’s not that bad, except for the fact that you may end up like me and spend a ton of time on wedding stuff because it’s a great way to procrastinate on your schoolwork). Check back soon for more updates on the wedding planning process!
